It's simply light egusisoup made with a blend of local spices used in preparing peppersoup. Remove from the pan and peel the outer shell covering and blend with the uziza seeds
It's quite similar to Ofe Akwu (Igbo style palm nut soup) & Abak atama (Efik style palm nut soup) with the only difference being the type of spices and herbs used in preparation

I hail o my Delta people, today’s recipe is egusi pepper soup. When I started this blog some months back, one of my besties from Delta State gave me some recipes of the dishes cooked from her side
As a yoruba babe I mainly grew up with leaves like Soko, Tete, Ugu, Ewedu etc. Egusisoup can be made and enjoyed in different ways, adding this Uziza vegetable to Egusisoup brings a unique kind of flavour to this soup
Chop into smaller pieces with a knife and place in a a blender with the washed bitter leaves. On getting there, i met her devouring a big bowl of pounded yam with a dark colored soup
Some people prefer the Ofe Nsala wth fresh catfish but I like mine with goat meat. Ofe Nsala soup is from the Eastern part of Nigeria and it is extremely easy to make
